Job Description
As a Wiring and Harness Engineer you will develop vehicle electrical wiring harness designs within area of assignment. The main objective is to provide complete design solutions in the area of wiring harness development rooted in a high level of understanding of circuit functionality, vehicle functions, wiring harness development tools and processes, advise in defining wiring harness topology and wiring harness installation solutions.
You will also be responsible for:
- Serving as a full-performance engineer responsible for the design of a number of wiring harness families.
- Developing and implementing complex electrical wiring harness projects within area of assignment including related routing and clipping solutions.
- Communicating relevant design and project requirements to external design counterpart as applicable if detailed design is performed by outside entity.
- Supporting prototype builds with detailed interpretation of designs to technicians.
- Selecting best value wiring harness components based on engineering calculations, using internal and industry wide design guidelines and recommended practices while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Responding to technical reports and provide corrective solutions and recommendations resulting from validation activities
- Ensuring design correctness and completeness for all wiring harness releases within area of responsibility.
- Supporting wiring harness supplier with implementing and industrializing wiring harness designs for area of responsibility while implementing changes that will improve material cost, quality and supplier manufacturing processes.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3 to 5 years engineering experience
- experience using CREO 3, including CREO Cabling
- Automotive, Commercial Vehicle, Aerospace, defense engineering experience is preferred.
