What are the responsibilities and job description for the Call center rep position at TEKsystems?

Job Description : We are seeking a dedicated and customer / patient-focused individual to join our Patient Services team within our office.

In this role, you will support patients over the phone in their scheduling needs via inbound calls. We strive for first-call resolution for appointment scheduling, canceling, rescheduling, patient registration, and documentation in accordance with patient privacy and safety standards.

Responsibilities :

  • Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner. The successful candidate will take an average of 50-70 calls per day in a typical 8-hour day.
  • This role is not patient facing, it will be all back-end duties.
  • Schedule appointments and update patient records.
  • Assist with patient inquiries and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify patients’ needs, clarify information, research every issue, and provide solutions and / or alternatives.
  • Document all call information according to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications :

  • 1 year of experience in a call center environment.
  • Prior EMR experience. EPIC experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Terminology experience preferred.

Details :

  • Pay : $20-22 / hr. based on related experience
  • Schedule : Monday Friday 9 : 00am 5 : 00pm (37.5 hours per week)
  • Onsite position Melville, NY
  • Direct placement, permanent position
