Description:
Our client is currently building a conduit installation team to install fire alarm conduit in commercial buildings. These technicians will be working with 1/2"-3/4" EMT conduit and need to know how to hand bend. A lot of the conduit will be exposed conduit, so it is imperative that they are up to speed on take ups, 3 and 4 point saddles. This is a new team, training on Fire alarm installation, largest fire installation company in Nashville, working on all the high profile projects in Nashville. This will allow someone coming from the electrical field to learn a new less physically demanding trade with the same upside on pay. Opportunity for upward mobility due to this being a new group.
Day to Day: Monday thru Friday, 6:30AM to 3:00PM (there will be OT as well)
Top Skills':
1. Conduit- 5 years installing 1/2"-3/4" EMT conduit in a commercial industrial environment. Looking for someone that has experience bending conduit with a hand bender.
2. Fire Alarm- Any type of fire alarm experience is a plus.
3. Electrical- People with electrical backgrounds are typically doing this type work. Also they have a better understanding of wiring and circuits that are used in Fire Alarm/ Building controls systems.
4. HVAC- 1 years, helps if someone has had experience with industrial HVAC as some of the work is done in the Mechanical Closets. IS A PLUS
