What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infrastructure/Cable Technician position at TEKsystems?
Description:
- Sync up with lead working in data center all day long
- 80% of work will be done in data center
- Manual labor
- Carrying up to 40lbs
- Working on ladders at heights up to 12Ft
- Working on knees
- Labeling cables
Skills:
Cable, Cat6, Cat5, Cabling, Cable installation, Telecommunication, Low voltage, Rack and stack
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Communicate with local lead to ensure daily expectations are clear and achieved
- Pull cable inventory from stock
- Apply location labels to cables
- Carry labels to position and install into 12ft high cable trays
- Reading and understanding labels
- Updating completed work in tracking documents
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in cramped and/or elevated locations.
