Job Posting for It Liaison at TEKsystems

Description:

TEKsystems is looking for someone who will take ownership of all IT resolution, projects and support for two of our client offices in Houston. These are smaller locations, which are located right next to each other, but their Applications are very complex and unique compared to the rest of the enterprise.

Responsibilities and upcoming projects

• Project based work

o example: they got 12 new desktops delivered, this person will be responsible for imaging and setting up new workstations

o Server upgrade project: they will be coordinating between the business, end users and network teams to move the project forward

o SharePoint migration: a lot of follow up needed to drive the efforts forward between the enterprise and local business

• Monitoring network outages

o A lot of critical applications that generate revenue

o Will need escalate appropriately

• Multitasking between ticketing queue and walk-ups

• Driving complete issue resolution

• Document processes and create KB articles

Required technical experience

• SharePoint

• MS Teams troubleshooting

• O365 suite (set up, configuration and support)

• Licensing requirements and provisioning

• Servers need to be updated manually

• Single sign on (how to add to security group)

• Technical knowledge of how to add permissions and access

• Work with Vendors to acquire license and renewals

• Take ownership of IT Support

• Strong follow up and documentation skills

• Network connectivity troubleshooting

• New and existing workstation setup and troubleshooting

Challenges:

o This person will be a single point of contact for 2 locations, so they are the face or IT and will be accountable for complete issue resolution

o Client is a very siloed environment and this person most of the time will not have a technical access to resolve an issue, 70% of their time will be spent researching and following up with multiple vendors and IT groups to resolve an issue or drive the project to completion

o This role will require a lot of proactive communication and building relationships with remote teams and the business stakeholders

Opportunities:

o The organization is growing very fast and they are rolling out a lot of new tools and technologies

o Starting their cloud migration journey in US this year

o The organization has been growing 20% year over year despite of the market conditions

o Being a sole point of contact for this location this person will get a lot of face-time with executives, leadership and will have a lot of input

o Currently they do not have the processes captured, they will document processes and partner with the business to create process improvement

o They will be driving all technology related projects
