What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mainframe Cobol Developer position at TEKsystems?
Description:
This person will be a part of the Warranty team. This team supports the warranty/claim system in regard to processing claims and looking at machine failures.
Helping on development strategy projects.
80% of the time supporting the mainframe
20% engaging with business partners and customers regarding the application
Typical task breakdown:
• Research existing mainframe programs and documenting/flow charting findings
• Enhancing existing programs
• Writing custom one-time-only use programs to perform data modifications
• Documenting change evidence for FSA/SOX compliance
Interaction with team:
- Office environment - collaborating with team members
