What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Specialist position at TEKsystems?
TEKsystems is looking to bring on a Medical Billing Specialist to work for one of our healthcare clients in Albany, NY. This position is fully in office.
Must Haves:
- accounts receivable experience OR
- experience working with insurance companies OR
- billing experience OR
- medical reception experience where insurance verification was handled
Job Description:
- Billing and collection
- Calling insurance companies and getting status of claims
- Assist with deposits, make copies and log checks
- Some Journal entry and reconciliation work
- Consumer check requests
- Some manual invoices
- Excel spreadsheet work
- Remitting payments
- Help with deposits /logging checks
Pay Rate: $18-20/hr depending on experience
Hours: M-F 8:00am - 4:30pm
