What are the responsibilities and job description for the PC Support Technician position at TEKsystems?
Description:
Responsible for providing technical diagnosis, evaluation, troubleshooting and resolution of requests and/or issues for the employees . The role will also assist with user and workstation moves, migrations and new system implementations associated with City requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Analyze and repair customer technical issues by either connecting via remote control to customer computers or going on-site to customer departments.
2. Ensure full customer satisfaction through communication, both verbal and written, throughout the entire incident lifecycle.
3. Communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
4. Monitor incident within the Incident Management System and follow-up to ensure satisfactory and timely resolution of incident.
5. Answer the Support Services phone when appropriate and utilize Incident Management System to assist in the evaluation of a call.
6. Reset customer passwords when needed, remap network drives, and install software and hardware.
7. Handle new customer set-up such as setting up the new hardware/software and verifying functionality/access.
8. Update and maintain inventory configurations as appropriate in Asset Management System.
9. Coordinate with network services, application support, and other applicable groups when needed.
10. Available to work after hours and weekends as required, including possible on-call rotation.
