What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phone Pharmacy Technician position at TEKsystems?
*Job Description:*
* Servicing pharmacy customers including obtaining and recording initial demographic info, data entry in pharmacy system, insurance verification and label generation
* Dispense and deliver medications using department's information systems, technology, and automation.
* Provide insurance and third party billing functions including data entry of customer and third party information, obtaining prior authorizations, maintaining files of prior authorizations, investigating and correcting insurance errors, handle insurance and third party prescription related issues.
* Develops competence in pharmacy operations and procedures, satisfying legal, regulatory and department requirements oh pharmacy practice.
* Complies with legal, regulatory and accreditation standards.
*Pay:* $22-$24/hr
*Skills:*
prescription processing software, customer service, technical skills, WI State Registration, pharmacy technician certification
*Additional Skills & Qualifications:*
MUST HAVES:
- High School diploma
- Active WI State Registration
- Previous experience filling and processing prescriptions
- Good customer service and attention to detail
- Tech savvy
- Ability to remain focused, able to stand on your feet for the entire shift
