Description:
HP is looking to hire a Program Manager to join their Commercial Software Solutions group at HP. This team supports 45-60 Enterprise Commerical Software products that HP supports for their Enterprise and SM customers. This individual will be working closely with the Product Management, Development, 3rd party vendors, PMO & Field Services teams to ensure the products are being sustained and maintained effectively by the development teams. These development teams will often be making enhancements and upgrades to their existing product base.
This is a global team and the consultant must be open/comfortable having virtual meetings with internal HP teams in non-regular business hours. There will be occasional calls early in the morning or later in the evening with their global teams. Rest of the work gets done in CST. The leadership team is very flexible on the hours worked to total the 40 per week but they are needing the PM consultant to be flexible if there are calls outside of business hours.

The applications and ecosystems developed by our teams deliver Security and Manageability experiences of high performance and superior User Experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for scheduling, execution, delivery of end-to-end solutions.
• Engage with Engineering leaders, Product management, Architects, and Product Quality teams to understand requirements, monitor scope, and facilitate product completion, delivery, and continuous operation.
• Contribute to the development of new ideas and methods.
• Analyze design and determining coding, programming, and integration activities required based on requirements and overall architecture of product or solution.
• Ability to come up with innovative solutions to solve real customer problems, responsible for the demonstration of solutions/ideas with proof of concept implementation.
• Lead a project team of other software applications engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for assigned applications portion or subsystems.
• Collaborate and communicate with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
• Plan specific software development areas and tasks that include solution design, analysis, coding, testing, integration, and delivery.
• Agile Project Management - Adopt Agile methodologies. Will be responsible for backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint demos to Product Owner
• Manage integration of software from multiple teams, integration of new tool or technology, drive innovation as needed
This consultant will be working on their BIOS product:
" The BIOS (Basic Input Output System) controls communication between system devices such as the disk drive, display, and keyboard. It also stores configuration information for peripheral types, the startup sequence, system and extended memory amounts, and more."
