The company offers products and services ranging from aircraft engines, power generation, and oil and gas production equipment to medical imaging, financing, and industrial products.
Job Overview:
- The HR Generalist will work closely with Operations leaders, Human Resources Managers, salaried employees, and the represented hourly workforce to achieve business objectives.
Manager hot buttons:
- Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to managers and employees with a specific focus on employee advocacy/engagement, conflict resolution, HR fundamentals and process training, employee relations management, performance management, talent development, staffing, retention, and workplace investigations.
- I’m looking for someone who is willing to focus their time on the shop floor helping the employees with their needs. This role will also support the HR team with items like job postings, discipline documentation, and employee communications.
- Specific software/hardware experience you would like to see – Microsoft Office (Workday would be a plus)
- How many employees at the location – In Kansas City there are 2 locations, 1 site has about 150 and the other has 125.
Job Duties:
- Administer and support all HR policies and initiatives within the constituent plants
- Partner with business leaders on multiple human resource issues, including the following:
- Policies, processes, and practices
- Evaluation and development of employees and managing annual performance processes
- Recruiting and pipeline development for hourly roles
- Investigate and provide counsel / advice regarding concerns about contractual issues
- Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment
- Serve as an employee advocate and help drive various business initiatives
- Establish, modify, and support local HR practices and policies as required
- Responsible for investigations, conflict resolution, employee communications and management coaching
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and at a minimum, 1-3 years of experience
