Overview
TekWissen Group is a workforce management provider throughout the USA and many other countries in the world. Our client manufactures and sells consumer lawn, garden, and pest control products.
Description:
Performs various warehouse and production line functions to support the mixing and
packaging of the company’s fertilizer products. Ensures finished products are manufactured accurately
and in a timely manner to meet operational deadlines.
Duties:
- Mixing & Blending
- Ensure tanks and calibration equipment are cleaned and accurate prior to mixing or
blending raw materials to make company products.
- Correctly combines and mixes various materials into solution to make company finished
products.
- Ensure all blending tanks are maintained and all components associated with mixing are
in good working order.
- Ensure all mixers, tanks and running equipment are turned off at the end of each day.
- Ability to isolate hazardous spills or contamination.
- High attention to detail. Ability to run Q.A. on mixes in real time and recognize issues in
the raw materials and processing machinery and report accordingly.
- Bottling
- Proficient in the problem solving, setup, running and clean up procedures for:
- Line 1 - 6 head, Line 2 - 12 head, Line 3 – 6 and 8 head and Line 4 – 12 head fillers.
Ability to stops the line as needed.
- Ensures that the quality of the bottles are free from defect and meet company
standards.
- Knows proper filtration package for each individual product.
- Capping
- Proficient in problem solving, set up, running, cleaning and use of capping machines
on lines 1 through 4.
- Ensures lids and seals are tight and properly sealed. No leaks.
- Confirms that Unifoiler is properly set up and foil seals are 100% sealed.
- Labeling
- Ensures the quality of the labels is free of defects and image distortion.
- Confirms proper label application to bottle for alignment and wrinkling.
- Proficient in the problem solving, setup, adjustment of the labeling machine on Lines 1
through 4. Lot Code Printer
- Ensures lot and date code printer are working properly.
- Codes are legible and accurate. Confirm with Lead that all information is correct.
- Packaging
- Ability to place filled, sealed product in boxes. Fill boxes with required quantity with
correct product.
- Ensures broken or defective product does not make it into finished case boxes.
- Ensures correct lot and date codes is on all finished products.
- Box Taper
- Ability to secure finished goods in case box. Slide case box through the box taper
securing finished goods inside the box.
- Ensures printer is working properly and date/ lot code matches the product being
bottled.
- Palletizing
- Ensures pallets are safe for use, free of any defects and are correct size and type.
- Ability to place boxes in neat stacks on pallets using predetermined patterns and counts.
- Ensures broken or defective boxes of product do not make it on finished pallets.
- Quality Control
- Proficient in all line operator quality control procedures and safety checks.
- Proficient in identifying product or packaging defects.
- Housekeeping
- Ability to maintain clean and safe working environment by ensuring all material spilled
on, under, or around production equipment and work spaces is cleaned during
down-time and at the end of each day.
- Prepares sterilization solution and knows how to test for proper use.
- Clean, rinse and sterilize equipment prior to each new batch and end of shift per S.O. P’s.
General
- Regular attendance and timeliness.
- All other duties or tasks as assigned by supervisor.
