Our corporate office is located in Alameda CA, this role will allow for a remote employee with some travel.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior (Finanical) Applications Specialist is responsible for ensuring the operation and viability of Telecare application systems. Responsibilities can include new system implementations, routine maintenance of databases and applications, upgrades, and maintenance releases; acting as a consultant to users on the best ways to use the software; coordinating with vendors on maintenance agreements, bug reporting, and fixes, and release management; and coordinating and interfacing with IT staff to ensure smooth support of existing systems, and implementation of new systems and enhancements. Furthermore,
this position also analyzes the financial implications of technology investments, including but limited to costs of licensing,
professional services, operations/maintenance, and ROI.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with G/L modules from vendors like Lawson, Workday, Microsoft Great Plaines, Oracle, or SAP.  They should have both implementation and support experiences.  They should be familiar with accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and other financial processes.  A big bonus is they know Kronos or Ultimate Software (TOP).  Purchasing and AP module experience are also helpful.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Demonstrates the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and contact with internal and external stakeholders
• Performs tasks correctly and according to policies and procedures
• Ensures applications are up to date and functioning as expected
• Coordinates with vendors and IT staff to obtain and implement latest fixes and releases
• Acts as a consultant to users on how to best use the applications
• Acts as resource and consultant to others in the IS department on technical requirements and features of the system/application
• Stays abreast of new uses for and new features of the applications and underlying technical components
• Defines system requirements for new business and technical requirements and coordinates with vendors on best methods for achieving desired results
• Acts as project manager for application changes, upgrades, and implementations as needed; facilitates project startup, including helping to define appropriate project team members, establishing meeting schedules and administration standards, and proving project team education on the implementation process; administration standards include documentation of all meetings, implementation, and support decisions
• Provides ongoing quality assurance review of assigned applications
• Where appropriate, provides high level assistance to trainers (i.e., question and answer sessions, etc.)
• Develops and implements detailed testing plans for new modules/programs
• Establishes responsibilities of IT technical staff (Networks and Help Desk) and monitors to ensure appropriate backups and processing of routine jobs as scheduled
• Provides ongoing support to users in all areas related to assigned applications
• Participates as a team member and provides input via reporting observations and concerns and asking appropriate questions
• Ensures that problems are prioritized and addressed in a timely manner and status is communicated to affected users and IS management
• Attends all staff meetings
• Stays current with the latest technical findings, new products, and software enhancements through trade journals, attendance at seminars, and other means
• Assists with financial analysis of existing and planned technology expenditures. Review and track past and current spend. Prepare appropriate schedules for cost allocation purposes.
• Assists and participates in annual budget planning activities. Prepares monthly IT Budget versus Actual Financial for the IT leadership team.

Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, and/or changed at the discretion of management.

Position requires driving own personal vehicle for company business such as trainings, offsite meetings, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required:
• A BS or equivalent in Business, Computer Science, or clinical discipline with three to five (3-5 ) or more years of work experience in a system support organization plus three (3 ) or more years experience with systems implementations and support as a user, IT staff, or in a vendor capacity
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. Position requires driving, valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual, or local requirements may apply.

• Experience with Lawson, Kronos, and Oracle systems is highly preferred
