Position Summary
To re-cut and inspect diamond dies, including doghouse dies, roller dies, and bullet dies.
Principal Responsibilities
- Collect all rejected finish and breakdown dies and re-stock supply binds.
- Maintains inventory of dies, roller dies, doghouse dies, diamond powder, and sizing wire.
- Check roller dies for wear and damage with optical comparison.
- Check doghouse dies with “hole checker” ensuring correct diameter.
- Clean dies with detergent and ultra sonic cleaner.
- Works with speed and accuracy in performance of stated functions.
- Maintains good housekeeping.
- Assist in training new employees.
Education / Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Must be familiar with the use of micrometer, pliers and microscopes.
- Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
- Basic math (addition, subtraction, and division) skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication skills including demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
- High degree of initiative.
- Basic Computer skills with Microsoft office, SAP experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, motivational and developmental skills.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands
- Exposure to high production/output machinery and equipment and constant noise in the production environment.
- Will spend 10% of time sitting and 90% persistent standing or walking/carrying.
- Must be able to avoid potentially moving objects which could cause injury.
- Occasional use of stairs.
- Consistent lifting:2-20 lbs. necessary/ Max = 30 pounds.
- Must be able to reach, grasp, push pull consistently.
- Fine motor skills needed.
- Strong hand eye coordination.
- Sight: Vision must be strong enough, with or without corrective lenses, to allow employee to complete their job responsibilities safely and accurately.
