Job Title: Customer Service Specialist/Permit Technician
Classification: Non-Exempt
Department: Community Development Services Division

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Customer Service Specialist/Permit Technician is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, primarily acting as point of contact for all construction and environmental projects, for the Community Development Services Department (CDSD). In addition, this position provides administrative support for Planning, Road and Bridge, and Environmental Health departments as needed.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Experience/Education: High school diploma or equivalent; two (2) years of customer service experience directly working with the public; any acceptable combination of education, training and experience that provides the listed knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted.
Visual Acuity/Hearing/Speaking: Must be able to communicate effectively by means of speaking, hearing, and seeing.
Physical Effort/Dexterity: Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds; stand and sit for extended periods of time; drive a motor vehicle.
Environmental Factors: Work is normally performed in an office environment.
Work Schedule/Characteristics: 40 hours per week. Some flexibility of schedule may be required for special projects/deadlines.
License/Certification Requirements: Possession of a valid Colorado driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
