Job Description
The Signalling Test Assistant will be responsible for the supporting the testing of client
signalling equipment and systems, in accordance with the test plans, procedures and project
specifications. Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, Delivery Manager / Lead
Engineer, and Construction Manager, ensure testing is being performed in accordance with
approved design and electrical standards.
Key Duties:
• Comply and carry out client Mobility Inc’s, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS)
Programs and policies
• Provide assistance and support to the test team with following the implementation of
instructions, procedures and guidance, to ensure the testing and commissioning of
signaling equipment and systems are fully compliant
• Ensure accountability for direct safety of oneself and surrounding peers and field
personnel
• Carry out the deliverables of Siemens Signaling System in accordance with the Design
Details and project specifications
• Execute all Signaling testing activities as directed by project team personal or required
by project specifications
• Ensure all design documentation provided is in compliance with project specifications
• Assist in the planning of Signal Works testing activities in conjunction with the allocated
supervisor / manager.
• Fulfil additional task and duties as required by client project team personnel
• Flexibility to perform and execute all duties on various shifts as required
Requirements: Essential:
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent
• Certified apprentice or Journey Licensed Electrician from accredited vocational trade
school 70E and NEC Codes proficient.
• (1) year of experience in interpreting schematics and diagrams
• (1) year of training or experience in electronics, electrical, or electromechanical
• Obtain all required California state and San Francisco municipal required permits, in
date, or able to renew before start of employment if expired.
• Microsoft Office Application proficient (Beginner level), Word, Outlook, Excel,
• OSHA 10.
Desirable:
• Prior Railway Signaling experience (Prior project portfolio must be submitted with
resume)
• Know of California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) regulations
• Excellent communication skills and team player mindset, along with great organization
skills
• (1) year of experience using Volt / Ohm meters
• OHSA 30
