What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiting Team Lead position at TELUS International?

The Recruitment Team Leader is responsible for guiding a team of recruiters for massive recruiting supporting the growth of TELUS International to ensure we are hiring suitable candidates to fill open job opportunities. This person will be responsible for analyzing and identifying the right job profile needed for each account, monitoring daily progress, identifying areas of opportunity, creating and implementing initiatives to guarantee 100% completion of each requisition, analyzing results, and conducting market research. The Team Leader will also work closely with the sourcing team to ensure we have the pipeline needed to respond to our hiring needs. They will also be responsible for providing guidance, instruction, training, and leadership skills to inspire the team to perform at their optimum. Additionally, this Team Leader will be responsible collaboration among Hiring Managers to implement strong hiring initiatives that will increase the overall hiring capacity for the region and overall business growth.

Specific Responsibilities May Include:

  • Recruit, manage and lead a dynamic team that responds to and successfully fulfills clients’ hiring needs
  • Manage the day-to-day activities/progress of the team and motivate the team to achieve their established goals
  • Design and implement innovative recruitment strategies to meet the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Constantly evaluate the effectiveness and success of current recruiting plans/strategies in order to make changes in an efficient manner as needed
  • Compile/create decks and reports for the management team, ensuring all information being presented is accurate
  • Maintain close communication with AGMs and OMs to ensure 100% completion of all classes and the delivery of the correct profile that is the best fit for each account
  • Conduct regular research in assigned markets to stay informed of market trends, relevant news impacting hiring, anticipated changes in the market, competitors analysis, etc.
  • Create and implement strategy to increase overall hiring capacity and business growth regionally

Required Experience, Skills & Competencies:

  • 3 years of full life-cycle recruitment experience
  • 1 years of management experience in a recruitment environment
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the recruiting processes in the united states for both massive and strategic recruiting
  • Demonstrated leadership skills (previous exp. in a supervisory role not required)
  • Strong work ethic with proven ability to work and succeed under pressure
  • Results-driven with the ability to adapt strategies in order to attain hiring goals
  • Excellent interpersonal relationships skills
  • Internal and external customer orientation
  • Strong teamwork mindset to foster partnerships with other team members within Recruiting as well as within other departments, leaders, and regions
  • Ability to drive team development
  • Creativity and innovation; always looking to improve on unique hiring/sourcing strategies
  • Extremely detail oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Project execution /management skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Google Workspace applications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills having the ability to communicate with leaders of varying levels
  • Knowledge of social media recruitment strategies

Preferred Experience, Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of development and implementation of budgets
