Hydraulic Cylinder Shipper

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the physical tasks involved in the shipping, preparing, moving labeling, shipments as well as crating and/or building boxes for shipments. All work is subject to additional requests as assigned by Department Supervisor.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and Ship outgoing shipments. If needed; preparing shipments; moving shipments; labeling shipments; building boxes for shipments; operating the pallet jack; overhead crane.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies based on order points.
• Manage work orders and all supporting documentation
• Pick and pack material ensuring order accuracy
• Meet deadline(s), goals, and performance metrics for on-time order processing
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Keeps equipment operational by calling for repairs, if necessary.
• Performs other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Organized individual with great attention to detail and focus on quality
• Self-motivated individual; a good team player
• Takes accountability and ownership of his/her own work
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Coordination, Attention to Detail, Judgment, Manual Dexterity (use of hands), Physical Strength (lift/move up to 45 lbs.), Physical Stamina (stand for extended periods)
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, airborne particles, chemicals, and/or fumes
• Warehouse temperature fluctuate due to weather conditions
• Noise level can be loud, at times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
