Qualifications:
Education/Training: High School Diploma
or Equivalent
Special Processes: Use of a scanner with a key
pad; data entry.
Experience: Two to five years experience in
a manufacturing environment in a cycle counting or inventory control role.
Physical Demands: Able to perform essential functions of the
position with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to stand for long periods of
time. Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds
on a regular basis. Must be able to
climb a stepladder.
Other: Use
of different measuring devices (e.g. electronic scales). Highly organized
individual with strong attention to detail and sense of personal
accountability.
Basic Function:
The cycle counter is primarily responsible to accurately
count, record and enter counts taken using the information and tools provided
by the Cycle Count Coordinator/Inventory Control Supervisor. The cycle counter will be able to work independently, be able to use
multiple measuring tools, work in various environments with a variety of
materials and a variety of levels of detail to collect.
Responsibilities:
Promotes teamwork,
cooperation and commitment to “Total Customer Satisfaction” among fellow
quality assurance department and manufacturing personnel.
- Starts
counting when provided count sheets and/or informed scanner is ready.
- Ensures
counting per the sheet or scanner (correct Item, correct Location,
Lot#/Serial# as applicable)
- Quantity
counted and recorded accuractly.- If
using count sheet this requires accurate / readable record of quantity on
sheet and accuracte data entry of count on the right line in the Cycle
Count Update form in the BSD.
- If
- Completes
all counts and recounts assigned before ending shift (unless otherwise
instructed)
- Provides
requested worksheets to Cycle Count Coordinator
- Communicates
status of count completion upon request
- Able
to find all Locations counts are conducted in
- Understands
material and information flow in areas counts are conducted in
- Reports
concerns and/or comments regarding safety in conducting counts and
regarding labeling / locations/ packaging / measurement methods that
counter believes can be improved.
- Participates
in and satisfactorily completes all training programs.
- Participates
in assessing results of updates to cycle count processes
- Assists
in organizing inventory as required.
- Performs
other related duties as assigned.
