Primary Job Objective:
Perform functional tests in a production environment on a variety of standard and custom electronic products and subassemblies with or without the aid of established test procedures. Meet or exceed individual and production goals.
Major Areas of Accountability include but are not limited to:
- Operate two or more production test systems within a fast paced production line to program, calibrate and functionally test sensors and subassemblies. Process passed and failed units accordingly
Decipher schematics and specifications to isolate and repair defective products and sub-systems.
Develop tests to verify custom designed products and subassemblies are performing as intended.
Recognize and resolve inconsistencies in test results. Detect marginal component and design defects and initiate corrective action.
Effectively communicate technical and manufacturing issues to improve products and performance.
Provide preventative maintenance on the test systems
Provide technical support to other technicians and groups as assigned.
Comply with all processes and procedures including, but not limited to, QMS, ISO, ESD and Safety.
Be available to back fill vacant assembly workstations if required.
Performs other related duties as directed to ensure efficient operation of department and Temposonics.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associates degree or Vo-tech certificate in Electronics (or related program) & no prior electronic testing experience or 5 years relevant electronic testing experience.
Experience:
- Ability to trace schematics & troubleshoot electronic product and sub-systems using software programs, meter & oscilloscope
- Competent to test within standards with the aid of a procedure.
- Works under direct supervision & from written and verbal instructions
