What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mattress Builder position at Tempur Sealy?
Job Duties:
- Correctly assemble multiple bedding layers including springs, felt, foam and other materials in a safe and consistent manner.
- Works in a two person team to pad & cover innerspring assemblies to form mattresses.
- Attaching layers of insulating materials using a hog ring gun. Attached toppers and panels by spraying hot glue.
- Adhere to all safety and quality requirements while meeting or exceeding production service levels.
- Participate in Department safety, quality, and continuous improvement events on an as needed basis.

Requirements:Basic Requirements:
- 18 years of age with High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Fast-paced plant operations environment.
Preferred Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret documents, including but not limited to safety rules, procedures manual and policy manual.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with Department Supervisor, Lead, Coworkers and other personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a practical, methodical way while working with a sense of urgency.
- Able to read and follow a written set of procedures.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods, to sit and talk or hear.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
- Safety glasses are required PPE.

Salary : $34,700 - $43,900
