Job Description
Under the direction of the Financial Advisor, the Client Service Associate is responsible for ensuring a high level of client service and client satisfaction. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with financial advisor to prepare for all client meetings and follow through post meeting with notes and action items
- Process client contribution and distribution requests
- Implement trading requests and portfolio changes per advice of research provider and investment committee
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients through regular communication, reviews of portfolio, and responsiveness to client inquiries and concerns.
- Utilize software programs to prepare comprehensive financial plans, asset allocation plans, insurance and research requests and/or recommendations.
- Support financial advisor in planning and preparation for prospective new client proposals.
Work Responsibilities
- Communicate daily directly with clients over the phone, via email, and in person to help with service requests, answer questions, and problem-solve across a wide variety of financial account types
- Prepare and follow-up on required client paperwork, financial applications, and transactions
- Assist in compiling portfolio reviews for clients
- Help manage and update critical applications including CRM, reporting systems, and websites
- Support our compliance program, assisting with compilation and documentation
- Help work on and take the lead on special projects for the firm
- Grow investment and financial planning knowledge over time
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Previous direct experience within a Financial Advisors office
- Ability to prioritize and quickly switch between different tasks and assignments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a confident ability to engage with clients and prospective clients
- Comfortable working in a small office environment and the willingness to take initiative to help the team
- Able to work independently at times
- High level of comfort in learning and using various web-based applications including CRM and financial reporting systems
