About the Role

Localization Manager – Arena of Valor Western Europe will have the opportunity to be part of a newly formed team in Western Europe, and will own the regional localization operations for the EU region. You will partner up with the Tencent HQ Localization team to define the regional operations approach, and vendor management to ensure excellence in the execution of all in-game and publishing content.

Main duties will involve:

• Work with multiple internal stakeholders, including HQ Localization Team, marketing, operations, and community teams to define success criteria for in-game and publishing localization.
• Become point-of-contact between WEU Regional Publishing Team and Tencent HQ to identify opportunities for improvement and optimizing content.
• Co-manage vendors with Tencent HQ to improve the quality of in-game localization of the supported languages and V/Os.
• Work with vendors to ensure all publishing related-content is localized into supported languages.
• Coordinate localization requirements between the development team and other regional departments – publishing, marketing, operation, esports.
• Project follow-up and controlling to meet quality standards, budget and deadlines.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5 years of experience in localization, QA and product roles in gaming.
• Proficiency in one or more non-English European languages (French, German, Spanish or Italian and Mandarin is a plus)
• Understanding the unique challenges of localizing and publishing mobile MOBA games and games-as-a-service.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage ambiguous situations. 
• Proven experience in localization tools.
• A passion for mobile, pc and console games.
• A valid passport and willingness to travel regularly to London.

Desirable Skills & Experience 

• Direct experience in a cross-functional team in a mobile mid-core gaming environment.
• Previous experience operating within a new team or startup environment.
• Experience in game development processes, localization, and publishing
