I. PURPOSE/SUMMARY
Provide training and guidance for the operation and up time of the mechanical equipment in the manufacturing system. To help in planning and coordination of new processes and equipment installation of future projects.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Help supply parts to repair equipment as needed
Go to vendor for new machine runoff
Help set up new product lines and new machines
Run samples/new product
Attend and participate team meetings
Watch line process and find ways to make production easier and more efficient
Teach and guide cell techs in troubleshooting/problem solving
With training, be able to setup / maintain machines to produce good quality parts in all areas of the plant
Coordinate special order parts and special tooling with engineers / maintenance management
Support teams production goals on a daily basis
Perform maintenance on building / facility to include electrical and plumbing along with any other associated general maintenance.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all equipment as necessary.
Work on special projects as assigned
Must be willing to work any shift and overtime as needed.

IV. JOB SPECIFICATIONS
A. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school or GED
Certificate from college / technical school preferred
One to two years experience in the running and set up of production equipment
Previous mechanical and / or electrical experience preferred
Previous experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems preferred
B. SKILL/CHARACTERISTICS
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Able to visually detect problems in process
Troubleshooting skills
Read and understand set-up procedures and manuals
Ability to listen to machine and operator to recognize problem area
Ability to adjust machines to fit final gauge.
Ability to use all types of hand tools and work with very close tolerances
