We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. The Manufacturing Engineer will initiate and direct the attainment of improved operational efficiencies and technical excellence through the application of manufacturing engineering principles/techniques and through participation in planning and budgeting processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide timely solutions to production problems related to equipment, processes, tooling and methods.
- Propose and implement changes to existing equipment and processes to achieve lower production costs, improved capability and enhanced product quality. Utilize project engineering, experimentation, and analytical techniques to facilitate improvement.
- Initiate and implement capital projects involving facilities, machine tools, material handling equipment and processes.
- Originate and implement cost reduction programs. Support achievement of cost reduction goals.
- Establish and document production procedures. Monitor production activities to assure that established procedures are followed.
- Support attainment of departmental and product line production goals for productivity, efficiencies and quality utilizing current OAE, 5S, and other lean manufacturing techniques.
- Determine processes and operations required to produce new product. Support sample production and start-up of new product.
- Provide technology leadership to achieve suitable manufacturing processes for new product/customer design, specification and qualification criteria from a manufacturing position.
- Provide support, development, improvement and modification of automated equipment CNC programming, parameters, and operation.
- Support maintenance in troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements and changes to our current and new equipment.
- The person assigned to this job has the authority and responsibility for the tasks designated in the EMS (Environmental Management System) procedures and for the tasks described below.
- Understanding and assuring conformance with the plant's Environmental Policy as it relates to their job responsibilities.
- Understanding identified facility Significant EMS Aspects relating to their job and conforming to related facility operational controls.
- Understanding and assuring conformance with facility EMS Legal and Other requirements relating to their job responsibilities.
- Suggesting appropriate modifications of facility EMS documents to the EMS coordinator.
- Reporting any observed facility nonconformances to the EMS coordinator.
- Supporting and offering to their supervisor or EMS coordinator suggestions for the improvement of the facility EMS.
EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, electrical or industrial engineer. Equivalent experience may be substituted for the specified education requirement. The Human Resources Manager will make the determination as to what constitutes equivalent experience.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 2-5 years of manufacturing experience, experience with iron foundry processes, basic understand of PLC ladder logic, basic understanding of electrical control systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Be able to perform time studies and implement standardized work. Basic understanding of induction melting furnace, ability to be on call 24-7 as needed
- Basic knowledge in vision inspection systems such as Keyence, experience using motion-controlled systems in a manufacturing environment. Basic CAD experience preferably SOLIDWORKS
- Proficient in Keyence XG-X series software, Allen Bradley studio 5000 software, Factory Talk Studio, GX Developer and GX works 2, Experience with Fanuc Robot's
