Federal Mogul has recently been acquired by Tenneco, Inc. The strategic combination of Tenneco’s Ride Performance business with Federal-Mogul’s Motorparts business will establish a global aftermarket leader with an impressive portfolio of some of the strongest brands in the aftermarket including Monroe®, Walker®, Wagner®, Champion®, Fel-Pro® and MOOG®. The company’s broader aftermarket product coverage, stronger distribution channels, and enhanced channel development will strengthen its position in established and high growth markets (China and India), and drive success through new mobility models and capturing evolving e-commerce opportunities.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager that is responsible for generating the assigned sales volumes in Aftermarket products, parts and services for the region. Provides field sales force training and coaching to improve sales techniques and product knowledge through the Federal Mogul Motorparts Selling System, Federal Mogul Motorparts TSC Training, and ASE Certification technical principles. As needed, provides complete information regarding company policies and programs. This position will be working remotely in the Eastern PA, MD, DE, WV and VA area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides technical sales support for the development of the commercial vehicle market.
  • Keeps current on all pertinent aspects of the national and regional aftermarket industry, including competitive and collaboration activities. Communicates new information back through the organization.
  • Actively participates in principal trade association meetings, trade shows, conventions, etc. with the ability to speak at appropriate association meetings.
  • Responsible for semi-monthly Market Summary Report derived from active account tracking in Federal Mogul MP CRM tool and distributor operations.
  • Manages travel and entertainment according to Federal Mogul Motorparts travel policy and submits an expense report at least once per month.
  • Makes sales development contacts with major National Account customers and prospects.
  • Establishes a planned, segmented coverage with identified priority distributors within the region to increase market share, and to improve demand creation activities.
  • Tracks distributor performance against all goals/objectives and reviews progress monthly.
Required Experience

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree required in related program.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years field sales experience in a sales-driven, quality-oriented organization.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Commercial Vehicle Market and Products (Engine Systems, Braking Systems, Wheel End, Suspension).
  • Proven success in managing and leading a sales force that sells a broad as well as complex product line.
  • Proven experience networking with and influencing decision makers.
