RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure that plant observes corporate FMPS principles and philosophy.
- Support, track, and report progress on the implementation and utilization of lean manufacturing techniques within the plants.
- Assess, track, and report progress on the implementation and utilization of FMPS philosophies and techniques. .
- Identify and share best practices from inside and outside of the plant with other plants within the group and with Business Unit and Corporate Lean Manufacturing personnel in order to achieve common and standardized manufacturing processes within the company.
- Contribute to the definition of lean manufacturing philosophies and techniques in co-operation with the product group operations and plant manager.
- Model and coach a drive towards perfection in order to instill a continuous improvement mindset throughout the plant.
- Lead the Lean deployment strategy for the plant, including suppliers and customers.
- Manage the Charter process : idea generation, documentation, prioritization, execution, and reporting of productivity improvement related activities.
- Support the development of the future state vision of the plant
- Initiate, plan and carry out sound operating process analyses for improvement of operational profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate and assist Continuous Improvement teams in the definition of continuous improvement projects planning concerning scope, time, quality, budget, milestones, allocation of resources, etc.
- Assess the sites needs and requirements on Lean Manufacturing training initiatives and develop a qualitative training concept for the site while assuring common company standards.
- Coordinate training of plant personnel in FMPS.
- Participate in the APQP process to ensure that relevant lean practices are considered and deployed.
- Participate in the development of specifications for new equipment to comply with FMPS principles.
- May be given certain authority within job scope by Manager

Capable of providing support as requested by supervisor.
EDUCATION :
Bachelor’s degree from four-year accredited college or university in a related engineering field; or 4 or more years related experience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience. Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification required.

Years of experience will vary with classification and salary grade. Experience and education must be related to manufacturing or industrial engineering.
Experience in lean manufacturing environment preferred.
