LOCATION: Federal Project Site in Honolulu, Hawaii
We do not require you to be from a certain location, but you must be willing and able to travel to Hawaii and stay for the duration of the project. All t raveling costs will be covered. (Rotation back home will be discussed).

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Pipe Welder to join our mechanical self perform crew to assist with the construction, installation, replacement and repair of: Hydrant fueling systems, including military aviation; Loading and unloading systems, including fuel trucks and bulk storage facilities; Pipelines; Vessels; Military services stations; Flow and level control systems.
As a Pipe Welder, you will perform or assist in tasks related to welding such as fit‐up, preparation, repair, inspection, and post weld preparation. You will also be asked to assist with general site work such as loading and unloading equipment and materials, site clean‐up and preparation, mobilization and demobilization to and from the jobsite, scaffolding erection, general tank construction tasks and other duties as assigned.

Job responsibilities include:
- Follows welding procedure specifications when welding.
- Performs quality welds to be able to pass radiographic interpretation.
- Performs quality welds using various welding process, such as TIG, GMAW, SMAW, FCAW etc.
- Produces quality welds with efficiency.
- Performs or assists with fit‐up and preparation of welds.
- Performs or assists with post weld cleanup, inspection, and repair.
- Communicates regularly with the Field Foreman with regard to issues and concerns on the job site.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Determine the required tools, materials and welding methods based on the project specifications.
- Assemble, install and repair pipe components and systems according to specifications.
- Inspect all materials, equipment, and tools required to perform the work.
- Maintain supplies, equipment, and tools.
- Properly prepare the materials by clamping, cutting or applying chemical solutions to piping.
- Examine completed welds to ensure they are free of defects, smooth, and functional.
- Observe all safety regulations.
- Ability to mobilize quickly and report to the jobsite by October 1st
- Ability to pass a required drug screen and background check
- Ability to gain access to military installations and facilities
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and climb
- Minimum 8 years of relevant welding experience
- Experience as a pipe welder on fuel facility projects
- Working knowledge of AWS, API, ANSI, and ASME Codes and Standards
- Must be able to pass a 6G pipe test
- Must be able to perform both stick and tig welds on both carbon & stainless steel pipe
- Ability to troubleshoot and strong attention to detail
- Ability to read prints and written instructions as well as follow verbal directions
- Ability to read and write in English
