Role Overview:

Siete Bucks Spirits (SBS) is in search of a Finance Controller. As Controller you will serve as the organization’s lead accountant responsible for accounting, finance and treasury functions including tax compliance, payroll, banking, T&E and overhead management. As the Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, communication of financial information used by management to plan, evaluate and control the activities of the company. This position will be accountable for management of accounting systems and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate financial risk. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, self-motivated, and able to execute complex tasks and projects while maintaining a great attitude.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use accounting judgment to manage daily transaction flow to ensure compliance with US & International GAAP.
• Manage monthly/annual financial closings to produce financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, and analyses of results for senior leadership
• Own the overhead budgets for the company including forecasting, actuals tracking and review, and analysis of risks and opportunities
• Formulate and implement policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial information, maintain internal control and comply with US & International GAAP
• Direct the year-end audit process
• Oversees bi-weekly payroll processing and record keeping for the company, including management of 3rd party payroll management services including state & federal payroll filings
• Work in conjunction with HR to oversee the company’s benefits including the company 401K Plan

• Manage corporate income tax and sales tax ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

• Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, Fixed Assets and T&E
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain high quality and solid internal controls
• Manage the cashflow forecasting and reporting to SBS headquarters
• Work with key stakeholders on compliance, marketing and sales budgets

• Previous working experience as a Controller
• 7 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Degree in Accounting
• CPA required
• Experience working with SAP, a huge plus
• Excellent management and communication skills
• Solid problem solving and analysis skills
• Highly skilled in Excel
