What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Expeditor - 10:30am-7pm. position at Tervis?
Position Summary:
Responsible for compliance customer shipments, routing, and organization
Essential Functions:
- Read, understand, and perform job according to compliance guidelines and production traveler
- Responsible for working in vendor portals for shipment routing
- EDI and VICS BOL preparation
- Shipping manifest preparation
- Daily reporting metrics
- Coordinate shipments utilizing EBS and WCS reports
- Organization of Compliance Shipping Area and Compliance shipments
- Material handling including forklift operation
- Troubleshooting for compliance customer shipments
- Communicate any issues in a timely and professional manner
- Positively Represent the Department
- Provide shipping detail such as POD, tracking, quotes, etc as necessary
- Ability to problem solve in fast paced and time sensitive environment
- Ability to work with different reporting functions in order resolve issues
- Responsible for the Attention Pallet/Rack - Issue tracker
- Act as a backup to all positions within the shipping department
- Update Excel spreadsheets & Access database with job status and comments
- Split shift 10:30am - 7pm

Required Experience:
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:
- 2 year of previous shipping experience
- Detail oriented
- Must be able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to adapt in a quickly changing environment
- Computer proficiency as related to shipping duties
- Team player with the ability to form positive relationships
- Self-motivated. Able to successfully work with minimal supervision
