What to Expect What You’ll Bring
As a Tesla Mechanical Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising a crew of MEP tradespeople at assigned locations or contract site locations. The Foreman lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and maintains systems on the basis of knowledge of system operation and the study of building plans or working drawings.
What You’ll Do- Oversees the work in accordance with drawings, sketches, specifications, codes, and company standards
- Plans sequence of installation to avoid obstructions of other craft workers
- Assembles, installs, and repairs a variety of metal and nonmetal pipe and pipe fittings, including those made of brass, copper, PVC, and CPVC; joins by means of threaded, pro press, glued, or grooved couplings. Support the install of mechanical insulation, fire sprinkler pipe, ducting, pump installs and some HVAC. (Any required welding will be performed by a certified welder)
- Lays out reference points for installation of structural and functional components using tape, plumb bob, levels, squares, and individual lasers
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested
- 5 years mechancial trade experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman status; Completion of a certified apprenticeship program desired
- Minimum One year of of supervisory experience
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, and subordinates
- Must have command of the English language, both oral and written
- Minimum one year of computer experience
