Tesla Gigafactory 1 is looking for a manager to provide Operational & Technical Leadership for quality engineers for the Battery Pack production lines. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring incoming parts meet Tesla specifications
- Our processes create parts to Tesla specifications
- The Quality of our final product meets or exceeds Tesla specifications
When specifications do not exist, or new failure modes are detected, you are responsible for ensuring the cross-functional teams work together to address the gaps in our parts or processes.
- Create and maintain PFMEAs to appropriately asses the risks associated with our products and processes
- Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date Control Plans aligned with all drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with the cross functional teams to mitigate risks associated with our products and processes
- Assist and support continual improvement of Supplier Quality performance
- Define calibration requirements of key measurement equipment
- Anticipate and comprehend service requirements to provide world class support for 24x7 manufacturing environment including
- Staff planning, hiring, training and development
- Facilities and environmental conditions planning, monitoring and control
- Establish, monitor and drive improvement of Production line KPIs
- Bachelors of Science (BS) in Engineering.
- 5 years of experience in Quality leadership with focus on production lines
- Proven ability to build and lead a strong team in a 24x7 manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience Root Cause Analysis, and Statistical Analysis
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize in highly dynamic production environment
- Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
- Remain engaged, proactive and positive in tough circumstances
- Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
Salary : $101,000 - $127,000
