What To Expect
As a Title Specialist within the Used Car organization at Tesla, your primary responsibility is to facilitate a seamless ownership transfer process for customers trading in their vehicles across the US. Your direct involvement includes working closely with customers to secure missing or defective documents and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to address discrepancies hindering the trade-in transaction. The Title Specialist is adept at identifying issues, initiating cases to track resolution progress, and demonstrating critical thinking to explore effective solutions.

As a pivotal member of the team, Title Specialists are at the core of the trade-in and used vehicle business, ensuring its smooth operation.

What You'll Do

Identify and address improperly executed documentation and specify required resolutions to quickly transfer ownership

Engage with customers directly to resolve missing paperwork concerns

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve title-related issues

Establish and maintain an organized filing system for physical documentation while also updating our internal digital systems

Acquire expertise in vehicle title transfer processes across all states, identifying solutions for process obstacles

Record, generate, and mail out titles and/or documentation to appropriate stakeholders

Process title reassignments, request checks for applications, and submit completed title applications to state DMVs across the country

What You'll Bring

2 years of professional office experience, bachelor's degree preferred

Prior experience in an administrative role, dealership, or vehicle titling is preferred

Strongly detail-oriented and organized

Intermediate experience with Excel, Outlook, and Word

Notary Designation is highly preferred, can be obtained after hire

Expected Compensation

$20.00 - $53.00/hour, depending on level cash and stock awards benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
