Job Summary
We are now seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Account Manager in our Membrane Filtration Business Unit to manage and develop the customer relationship for Tetra Pak’s Processing Equipment business in the USA. In this position, you will be the key point of contact for the customer for membrane related activities, not only looking to ensure that their operational issues are resolved in a timely manner but identifying their needs and delivering solutions to drive mutual growth.
You will work with our customers and the US market company in the Dairy, Food & Beverage industry and look for opportunities to sell our Membrane Filtration Solutions and grow our market, while also promoting the Tetra Pak One Company approach with these accounts. We are looking for someone that can speak the technical language and drive to deliver a world class service experience.
This position is ideally based in one of our US offices (e. g. Champlin, MN, Winsted, MN, Vernon Hills, IL or Denton, TX). However, we will consider a remote solution for the right candidate.
You will be travelling up to 70% of your time.
What you will do
As a Membrane Filtration Account Manager, you will:
- Drive growth for both new equipment sales and after sales services with customers by building strong customer relationships and identifying short, medium and long-term business opportunities.
- Lead the Membrane Filtration business activities with assigned accounts, working closely with the sales manager.
- Identify which filtration technologies can be deployed for customers’ applications and work with the customers to develop processes and requirements.
- Prepare, deliver and follow up on quotations to customer expectations.
- Develop and drive the execution of sales plans aligned to Tetra Pak’s and the customers’ business objectives.
- Visit assigned accounts routinely to develop face to face relationships.
- Ensure that customer issues are resolved in a timely manner, and the resolution is accepted by the customer.
- Record and follow up on opportunities in a timely fashion.
- Monitor and report sales opportunities in management databases.
- Drive improved understanding of customers’ overall business.
We believe you have
- A bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in an engineering field.
- Good technical understanding and/or chemical knowledge.
- At least 5 years of experience in sales and customer management, capital equipment sales experience a plus.
- Working knowledge and experience of food processing (dairy), business and sales management.
- Ability to create own filtration solutions, cost and quote equipment highly preferred.
- Ability and desire to stay at the forefront of the industry with an understanding of the market trends.
- Fluent and clear communication in English.
- Experience of working with customers is required.
