Quality Technician A
We are seeking a Quality Technician A to ensure standards and quality systems are followed to perform incoming, process and final quality control in accordance to Quality Plan and defined Test Methods. The individual will be responsible to conduct all the tests in the QA labs and will assist in driving statistical quality control.
What you will do
- Understand and comply with BRC and food safety guidelines
- Oversight of package quality characteristics specification and test records. Responsible for placing all noncompliant material on hold and troubleshooting deviating conditions.
- Review trend analysis of test results, suggest plans for improvement, or escalate when necessary.
- Understand and follow all safety, quality, and process procedures
- Perform the assigned autonomous maintenance (AM) tasks in the lab and on machine, attend all AM meetings
- Ensure all material produced in process areas is within specification
- Participate in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) team activities to eradicate losses in the process
- Comply with the safety measures and the good manufacturing practices established for the area
- Address gaps in coverage and workload
Who you are
- High school diploma or GED required 2-year technical degree; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 years of quality experience in a production/manufacturing environment instead of bachelor’s degree
- Quality assurance certification preferred
- Basic machine maintenance skills
- Quality inspection and machine systems handling experience
- Intermediate computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office and Minitab
- Dependability and reliability
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read, understand and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures, and World Class Manufacturing processes
- Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies
- Must be available to work 12 hour shifts of 36 hrs/week and 48 hrs/week
