Tetra Tech’s Disaster Response Division is currently hiring Data Analyst who live local to the Sarasota, FL area. The employee in this position is responsible for managing field data staff and documentation. Additionally, the employee in this role with be utilizing SQL to complete reports and assist data.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise, guide and support on-site team staff
- Manage resource demand, timelines, and escalate issues
- Makes decisions and performs timely independent actions in pursuit of project priorities
- Receive and disseminate information and task assignments to staff
- Monitor work progress and effectively manage completion of key project milestones
- Review and approve on-site team timesheets
- Quality assurance and quality control of project data
- Extracting data through Microsoft SQL and providing SQL related support queries
- Using SQL Server Profiler to trace slow running queries and monitor server activity
- Generate daily reports concerning project metrics, work completion, staffing and costs
Ideal candidates will have:
- Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or other related degree). Advanced degree preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, set priorities and plan work to meet deadlines.
- Maintains positive attitude in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to work Monday through Saturday, 10 to 12 hours a day.
- Must be available for short-term travel to support on-site client needs and extended deployment (i.e. 90 days) to address client response and long-term recovery needs to following emergencies and major disasters.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Must have solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
