Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Receptionist / Admin Assistant for our San Diego, CA operations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for our front office administration handling reception and our phone system. In addition, you will also:
- Provide administrative support for our Federal DoD contract.
- Assist with maintaining office supplies and coordinate maintenance of equipment.
- Provide administrative support for operational, technical and business development staff associated with environmental consulting services.
- Distribute mail
Duties may also include
- Timecard coordination
- Coordination of the interview/hiring process for new staff
- New hire orientations
Work hours are on-site, in the office, from 8:00 to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday. (Remote work is not available.)
Job Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of 1- 3 years of related experience. The ideal candidate will also have / be:
- Ability to manage files in folders and on websites (SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
- Ability to handle a full workload, multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality especially matters concerning business and staff.
- Proficient with MS Office applications including Microsoft Word for word processing and Excel to assist with report and proposal development.
- Proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat or Nuance to edit and assemble documents
- Experience with Access and PowerPoint is a plus.
- Experience with other graphics program is a plus.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, peers, and clients.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Resourcefulness in solving problems and researching solutions
- Flexible, able to immediately adapt to changing priorities
- Should have strong organizational skills and show good judgment
- Show individual drive and initiative with minimal supervision.
- Upbeat personality, a professional disposition and a positive attitude.
Degree / Certifications
- High school degree or GED.
Work Environment
- Work is in our San Diego office, at the front desk.
- Occasional light lifting.
- Need to be able to work at a computer.
