This position is a member of our Monitoring Division.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a part of the division’s Monitoring team, our Inventory Specialist will play a key role in achieving TCEQ’s mission. You would use your skills and experience to:
- Participate in inventory and asset management operations for the Monitoring Division.
- Maintain, stock, and issue materials, equipment, parts, and supplies from the warehouse inventory; obtain quotes and initiate purchase requests; review received items for completeness.
- Package, ship, and receive materials, supplies, equipment, and parts in response to customer requests; generate and reviews shipping reports for accuracy.
- Ensure duties are carried out in accordance with applicable regulations, security requirements, loss prevention controls, and established TCEQ policies and procedures. Request and assign asset numbers; conduct quarterly inventory of parts, supplies, and equipment; coordinate disposal of surplus property.
- Load and unload stock and equipment from delivery vehicles using a forklift; transports materials from off-site storage to central office.
- Assist with monitoring the annual compressed gas contract; assist with invoice reviews and processing; assist in maintaining stock; monitor legal and regulatory requirements for shipping and handling of hazardous materials.
- Assist with the maintenance, reservation, and checkout of vehicles used by agency staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years of full-time experience in supply, inventory, or warehouse work.
