Transportation Supervisor
EMPOWER’s Community Based Care program includes services to families that support the safety, permanency, and well-being of children in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). As the Single Source Continuum Contractor (SSCC) in Metroplex East (formerly referred to as Region 3E), EMPOWER will ensure the full range of services, which includes foster and kinship care, purchased services, case management, and reunification services. EMPOWER will fully engage the community to help achieve positive outcomes for children.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human service field required with a minimum of two years' experience in children and family service program or contract management.
Valid driver’s license and meet agency underwriting standards.

As a Transportation Supervisor, you will supervise the agency's transportation system. Promote the well-being of children, participates in staff meetings/trainings, and coordinate with staff from other agencies involved in providing services to children. Performs the following duties directly or through subordinates.
- Supervises Transportation Support Workers.
- Receive and process transportation requests, gas vouchers and mileage reimbursement requests as required by procedural time frames.
- Complete authorizations in FACES for transportation related requests.
- In conjunction with agency employees, coordinate transportation of contract clients with agency transporters.
- Communicates with staff and public on a daily basis via e-mail and phone.
- Develops, promotes, and practices teamwork in all activities.
- Monitors receipt of appropriate documentation related to transportation services.
- Coordinates Medicaid eligible transports and ensures all requirements are met for agency reimbursement.
- Will be required to drive personal or agency vehicle while transporting children or conducting agency business. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must meet agency underwriting standards while driving agency vehicles and/or transporting clients.
- Ensures youth transportation requirements are met.
- Completes documentation and forwards reports containing descriptive, analytical, and evaluative content.

- Refrains from assuming any duty that is unrelated to and/or interferes with the responsibilities of the
- position.
- Provides regular supervision and professional development of agency employees.
- Advocates, promotes, and practices cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in all day-to-day
