Job Summary: Directs all activities within assigned areas of responsibility, including P& L. In collaboration with Texas First Rentals Leadership, establishes sales and profitability goals, manages proper fleet levels, responsible for effective leadership, and drives a safety-first culture. Plans and establishes systems to control expenses and ensures high operations excellence standards, through sales, technical support, Legendary Customer Support, and reliability to customers 24/7.

Essential Functions:
- Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values-Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
- Streamlines and documents key processes and systems that drive safety, LCS, and customer satisfaction
- Oversees sales efforts and business initiatives that complement the business unit’s strategic plan
- Executes successful management of Power Rental Operations and personnel
- Assists with equipment demonstrations and technical support
- Actively participates and supports the execution of sales and marketing initiatives, increased market share, and customer retention
- Establishes high safety standards for audits, training, and compliance with State, Federal, OSHA, and DOT regulations, drug and alcohol testing, and the safety equipment maintenance program
- Effectively communicates job expectations and fosters a climate conducive to optimizing performance, successful outcomes, and creates a professional work environment utilizing our Values-Based Leadership Tools
- Supports Texas First Rentals Leadership by providing a thorough understanding of market conditions including current customers, potential customers, and competitors for assigned territory
- Creates competitive pricing with existing market conditions, product quantities available, and product quality to provide customers with an affordable, yet competitively priced product
- Plans, directs, and coordinates all Power Rental Equipment operations within the assigned area
- Fosters a customer-focused approach to sales and service
- Reviews product offering and optimizes profitable market share growth and financial performance
- Ensures accurate financial reporting and budget preparation
- Promotes a culture of safety, works safely at all times, and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of Power Rental Equipment and the rental industry
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Administration, or Construction
Management preferred
- Five or more years of experience in business management and/or operational
management with increasingly progressive job scope and responsibilities
- Three to five years of retail or store management experience
- Proficiency in MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel and Outlook, and the use of
computer applications
- Valid driver’s license required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position directs and manages the within assigned area of responsibility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Travel:
Up to 30% travel, including overnight stays
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
- This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
- Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
- Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climb the up and down the ladder
- Be able to safely maneuver and work underneath equipment
- Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
- Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area
Work Environment:
- This job is generally performed in a professional office environment
- Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
- Noise level may be loud at times
- Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and high speed rotating equipment
- On occasion time is spent in confined spaces and high places.
