- In 2024 our Primary Care practices will be transitioning from the AdventHealth Medical Group to the AdventHealth Primary Care Network
- The Primary Care Network will be part of AdventHealth’s new Primary Health Division which focuses on services outside of the hospital setting to increase its success in value-based care.
- This new Division will include the Primary Care Network, Primary Care , Centra Care, Population Health, Well 65 , Home Health, Hospice, Hospital Care at Home and Acute Care at Home.
The role you’ll contribute: The Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse provides clinical and clerical services, including rooming patients, assisting with exams and procedures, performing waived lab tests, starting IV’s, taking verbal orders and administering medications. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Monitors physicians’ schedules, organizes patient care by having the patient prepared and ready on time for the physician visit. Rooms patients including vital signs, reason for visit, patient history, allergies, and completes appropriate documentation following nursing protocols. Assists the physician with examination and procedures that he/she performs. Maintains open communication to ensure quality care.
- Regularly audits ordered tests to ensure results are received and followed up on in a timely manner to ensure quality health care.
- Covers Triage calls and ensures calls are answered timely and documented appropriately. Calls in prescriptions when needed.
- Administers IV’s and accepts physician orders by phone and verbally.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Graduate of Licensed Practical Nursing school
- Current, active LPN license in the state of Florida
- Active BLS or CPR certification
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of physician office / triage experience
- Medication administration
- IV certification
