The role you’ll contribute:
The Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist works under minimal supervision of the Manager of Medical Staff Services and is responsible for credentialing of Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals, files maintenance, meeting preparations, emergency call schedules, assists with training/education and all other functions of the Medical Staff Services Department.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Credentialing of all Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals ensuring all required documentation is obtained and completed in a timely manner.
- Performs all clerical duties related to Board of Director appointments/reappointments.
- Monitors expirable credentials of all Medical and Allied Health staff and ensures appropriate documentation is obtained.
- Prepares notices, agenda, and packets for Medical Staff meetings.
- Prepares the Emergency Department master call schedule and notifies appropriate departments of changes.
- Manages the Physician Portal and Intranet with updated information.
- Assigns and maintains iConnect request forms, access codes and training requires for the iConnect system on all Medical Staff physicians, medical office staff and Allied Health Professionals and notification to appropriate personnel of these requests.
- Ensures The Joint Commission requirements are met regarding Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE).
