The ER Registered Nurse is a critical member of our patient care team promoting the health, safety and well being of all patients. A primary responsibility, facilitating optimal patient appropriate resources is performed with a focus on high levels of performance and attention to teamwork. The ER nurse understands the value of relationships not only with patients but also with physicians, fellow employees and community members. Understanding that conflict happens, the ER nurse has the ability to manage conflict and competing imperatives while ensuring patient care remains the top priority. The successful ER RN possesses requisite levels of technical and professional knowledge in Nursing.
Requires knowledge of Federal and State regulatory agency standards related to health care organizations. Cognitive and technical knowledge and ability to progressively manage care delivery across the continuum of care. The ability to retrieve, communicate and present data and information both verbally and in writing required. Must be flexible with work scheduling and exhibit the ability to use discretion and independent action within prescribed limits.
- Associates Degree; Bachelors Degree Preferred
- Current Texas Nursing License
- Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS certifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the Emergency Room
