Job Summary

The Operations Manager provides leadership by setting and maintaining standards for the business operations of all services, ensuring the fulfillment of the goals and objectives of the staff, and providing management expertise. The Operations Manager participates in assessing the environment, forecasting trends, transmitting values, communicating ideas, developing and implementing policies, initiating programs and systems, and managing resources. The_ Operations Manager_ is responsible for the development of the business clinical and non-clinical staff and reports to the COO, CEO and Physicians as appropriate.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

  • Supports Texas Neurology Code of Conduct. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with organization mission and goals.
  • Assist leadership to deliver high quality, cost-effective, and efficient healthcare workflows in accordance with annual operating goals, objectives, and organizational policies.
  • Participates as a member of the practice's management team in planning, policy formation, and administrative decision making with particular reference to the role, functions, and operations of the practice's services.
  • Analyzes, recommends, & implements policies & procedures as needed to maximize reimbursement for services rendered in compliance with established government & third party guidelines.
  • Participates in initiating and supporting organizational mechanisms and systems that ensure the provision of effective patient care.
  • Acquires and maintains thorough knowledge of Federal & State Legislative & Administrative action affecting reimbursement; disseminates acquired knowledge to leadership.
  • Monitoring adherence to quality standards of patient care, resolution of problems, & all duties to ensure efficient/effective clinic operation.
  • Develops business productivity standards and provides coaching and remediation for underperformance
  • Ensures that the clinical department has an overall plan and continuously assesses, measures and improves departmental performance.
  • Manages daily activities in the practice to ensure efficient office operations. Coordinates staffing, coverage and procedures to ensure needs of the facility are met in a timely and effective manner.
  • Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, evaluates, counsels, and recommends termination of assigned employees.
  • Communicates with various departments to coordinate services, resolve operational problems, and improve quality of patient care.
  • Monitoring of practice clinical staff-this includes monitoring of documentation, patient interaction, and phone call returns by random chart audits and meetings with staff members and MDs.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance to OSHA and other recognized best practice guidelines, including Texas Neurology’s compliance plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. The providers are experts in all areas of neurological treatment and care including Muscular Dystrophy, ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer's and, Parkinson's Disease, Huntington's Disease, Cerebrovascular Disease, Seizure Disorders and Stroke Symptoms. In addition, we provide long-term care to patients with chronic neurological disorders.

  • Requires excellent listening, interpersonal and communication skills, and professional, pleasant and respectful telephone etiquette
  • Requires expert knowledge of general insurance terminology to include, but not limited to, governmental and commercial payers rules and coverage policies related to services provided at Texas Neurology
  • Requires personal accountability and ability to hold others accountable
  • Works independently and is a self-starter

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Experience: 4 years of direct operational healthcare management experience
  • Experience: eClinicalWorks (eCW) (Preferred)

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
