Position Description Employees in this classification are responsible for performing a wide variety of care activities in an assigned specialty or subspecialty outpatient clinic on an as-needed basis. The incumbent is assigned per the direction of the local Director of Nursing Services. Work is performed as part of a total healthcare team in providing complete evaluations to patients.
Major/Essential Functions This position will be responsible for providing a wide variety of patient care activities. Duties will include:
Providing appropriate nursing care
Assisting the Head Nurse with developing clinic goals and objectives
Investigating accidents and injuries
Supervising and instructing subordinate nursing staff
Performing testing ordered by physicians
Other duties as requested by supervisor
Required Qualifications Education: Completion of a recognized program of nursing or an educational program appropriate for the level of care to be provided. License: License or certification consistent with regulatory requirements.
