Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.The Department of Kinesiology and Sport Management at Texas Tech University is pleased to announce the availability of one tenure-track position in sport management at the assistant professor level.
Responsibilities: Conduct research and publish in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals. Teach a combination of undergraduate and graduate sport management courses. Seek and obtain internal and external funding. Advise graduate students in sport management and mentor undergraduate and graduate sport management students. Perform professional service and outreach to the university, community, and profession.
An earned doctorate in Sport Management or a related area.
Demonstrated expertise and a collaborative research and teaching focus in at least one, and preferably more than one, content area of sport management, such as financial management in sport, intercollegiate athletics, organizational behavior in sport, sport analytics, sport ethics, sport event management, sport law, sport leadership, sport marketing, and/or sport media.
Demonstrated ability to publish in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals.
