What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool Room Attendant position at Texas Tissue Converting?
Texas Tissue Converting is actively seeking an experienced Tool Room Attendant to improve various aspects of our company's facilities by generating, maintaining, and coordinating tools/work orders. Daily Responsibilities
- Maintain an efficient spare parts inventory.
- Serve as administrator for maintenance related software.
- Complete all data entry into spare parts systems, including but not limited to requesting RFP's (request for purchase), placing orders online, by email and phone.
- Set up vendor appointments who may supply parts and services, communicate needs, and manage relationship with vendor.
- Coordinate and obtain appropriate approvals of work performed by outside vendors for repairs, upgrades, replacement and/or repair of parts, and assigned on-site projects.
- Assist with developing spare parts inventory program.
- Process and close out warranty claims related to spare parts.
- Prepare purchase orders to reorder needed parts.
- Enter quotes and receipt of parts and supplies into the system.
- Conduct periodic physical audits of inventory and maintain approved stock levels.
- Responsible for spare parts and components and safe and secure storage and organization.
- Order, receive, and barcode all parts, lubricants, and maintenance consumables.
- Track, review, and publish reports on the spare part inventory including monthly costs and budgeting materials, maintenance systems, and spare parts.
- Purchase and negotiate with vendors spare parts pricing, delivery times and shipping of heavy parts.
- Secure timelines and communicate with team members status of parts (expedited, back ordered, availability) to make sure disruption of scheduled production is not effected due to delay or availability of parts.
- Ability to read schematics and diagrams for part identification.
- Ability to build relationships with vendors and suppliers of parts and supplies.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Additional training beyond high school (automotive, mechanical, engineering, manufacturing, repairs)
- Ability to operate computer and data entry
- Strong Math Skills
- Planning and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service care and attitude in dealing with external and internal clients
- Availability to take calls on evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
