Description

SUMMARY:

TexasBank is seeking a Portfolio Manager for our Stephenville, TX, corporate branch. In this position, one works closely with clients to manage their investment accounts. Duties include consulting and advising clients to develop investment objectives to increase investment performance and create reports on investment activity and performance. The Portfolio Manager should be comfortable talking with high-level business leaders about individual portfolios and help us define KPIs and create a roadmap for companywide operations.

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work closely with the Loan Officers on the assigned loan portfolio by monitoring and managing the credit quality of such portfolio.
  • Assist in maintaining and growing existing client relationships by identifying Bank's other products and services.
  • Work with Loan Officers and the underwriting team to prepare credit memos for new loan opportunities and renewals of existing credits.
  • Help review loan documents, either internally prepared or by outside counsel, to ensure accuracy.
  • Work with loan assistants and support staff to ensure all necessary items for the loan's closing are in process.
  • Portfolio management functions include monitoring and managing the credit quality of the assigned loan portfolio, which includes preparing Annual or Quarterly Credit Reviews on Relationships as applicable and Loan Agreement Monitoring.
  • Prepare waivers, modifications, extension memos, and related documents as needed.
  • Prepare or engage with attorneys to prepare documentation notices for action taken on loan agreement defaults.
  • Review to ensure each credit is risk-rated correctly based on the Bank's risk rating system and loans are structured and underwritten by Loan Policy.
  • Communicate with clients to insurance financial documentation is provided to Bank promptly and by the loan agreement.
  • Reviews client's accounts and portfolios to identify, evaluate and determine the appropriate course of action on potential credit quality issues to maximize credit quality and minimize risk and possible loss to the bank.
  • Prepare required reports for loan portfolio or bank monthly, quarterly, or annually.
  • Assist with mentoring and coaching junior underwriters and loan staff.

Qualifications


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Required
  • Four or more years of experience in financial planning and investment. Required
  • Proven experience in investment and financial assets management as an analyst or assistant manager in a financial institution environment.
  • Strong understanding of investment strategies and risk management.
  • Knowledge of securities, insurance, and mutual fund industries.
  • Personal integrity and maintaining the confidentiality of company and client information.
  • Proficiency with financial planning software.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree in business, finance, investment, or a related field. Preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High interest in and enthusiasm about economic and financial market trends.
  • Exceptional customer service with a client focus.
  • Flexible travel to meet clients as required.
  • Able to sit in front of the computer for long hours.
