Location Office Based - Knutsford, UK (Travel will be required)
Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Associate Publisher, the role will be responsible for developing and managing a territory for an established brand. Responsible for both new and existing business development, identifying opportunities and achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. The ability to think strategically and commercially, interacting with people at all levels and delivering an exceptional level of service is an important element of the role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities➔ Identify new clients and work with them to create targeted marketing campaigns that meet their business needs and maximise sales opportunities➔ Create and cultivate meaningful, long term relationships with existing clients and work consultatively to support their marketing initiatives➔ Lead client contract negotiations to successful conclusions➔ Diligent account management. Taking ownership of projects from signature to delivery➔ Work to achieve predefined monthly and annual targets➔ Create maintain a strong and healthy sales pipeline at all times➔ Focus on forward planning and be able to manage your time effectively➔ Ability to identify and attend regular client meetings (nationally and internationally) to establish and maintain client relationships➔ Attend industry events to meet and network with clients (national and international)➔ Liaise and coordinate activity with internal departments to ensure the smooth running of client projects➔ Ability to consistently and accurately forecast sales based on a robust pipeline➔ Demonstrate leadership skills and act as a role model to BDE’s, being fully engaged with their development and success➔ Support with the onboarding of new team members.
Required Qualifications Knowledge Abilities& Experience
Educated to a high standard, minimum A' Levels, Degree or equivalent would be desirable
Minimum of 3-5 years in sales with a proven commercial record
Entrepreneurial flair and keen desire to succeed➔ Strong communication skills, with a natural flair for constructive conversation
A professional manner both on the telephone and face to face
A passion for sales, attention to detail, and customer service
Experience of work in a fast paced and driven environment➔ Effective time management➔ Ability to work independently without supervision➔ Media sales experience for example local/national press, consumer, digital, B2B etc.➔ IT skills: Google G-Suite and/or Microsoft Office, CRM experience(Salesforce)Sales Metrics
