What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Fabricator position at Texwrap?
Texwrap is seeking a Fabrication Utility employee for a versatile position. This position includes the operation of a tapping station, deburring machine, saw, and various fabrication tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate tapping station while making parts to print
- Operate deburring machine
- Operate saw to cut parts to print
- Quality of cut parts (size and correct material)
- Follow schedule as required
- Accurately report labor to jobs as needed
- Maintain safe work area
- Maintain accurate inventory in the MRP system as well as physical inventory
- Material handling for various work areas within fabrication
- Keep fabrication areas orderly and remove waste
- Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job.
- Performs additional duties and assignments as directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma with vocational or trade school training
- 1-2 years experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Detail and quality oriented
- Good attendance
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Professional communication, attitude and image
- Ability to read tape measure and calipers
- May require lifting of parts and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
